Program Agenda - Programs begin at 8:30 on Friday morning with an Introduction and Orientation Session. It reconvenes each morning at 8:30 AM and concludes each evening at 5:00 PM. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday sessions deal with Grief Recovery® Principles, Concepts of Recovery, How Incomplete Loss Occurs, Identifying Incomplete Losses, Grief Recovery® Counseling Skills, and Practical Application Training. Times may vary slightly based on number of participants and program location. A program Itinerary will be forwarded with your confirmation. Check your Confirmation carefully for any time variances.

Registering for US & International Programs Program sizes are limited. Early application and registration are strongly recommended. Tuition for The Grief Recovery Certification Program is $1,995.00 US. Upon acceptance into a program a $795.00 deposit is required to guarantee each registration. Early Registrations 60 Days prior to program date will qualify for a tuition discount of $200.00 if paid in full at the time of registration. Payments & Deposits may be made by Visa/ MasterCard/Amex for on-line applications. Itinerary will be forwarded with your confirmation by regular mail.

Fee Includes: Tuition for Training, Course Materials, Grief Recovery Outreach Manual, Grief Recovery Handbook and When Children Grieve both by John W. James & Russell P. Friedman, License, Service and Support Agreement and Follow-up support. Accommodation, Travel and Meals are not included in the tuition fee.

The program includes both experiential and didactic components. Sessions address such wide ranging topics as: Grief, [Society’s most neglected human experience], Identification and Resolution of Personal Loss, Reaction to Loss, [Normal and Abnormal]; Intellectualization of Emotional Experiences; How Incomplete Loss Occurs; How Unresolved Loss Limits both Personal and Spiritual Growth; Concepts of  Grief £ Recovery® ; Grief £ Recovery® Counselling Skills; Teaching Role Sets, and Development of Completion Exercises.

Due to the nature of our programs and group size limitations we have established the following:

Cancellation up to 30 Days Prior to program date is subject to a fee of $295.

Cancellation within 30 Days of the program date is subject to a fee of $795.

No Show Policy: No shows, without prior notification, do not qualify for a refund. However, fees for transfer to other programs will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

Program Transfer Policy: Up to 30 days prior to the program date, deposits and/or payments for a specific program may be transferred to any of our upcoming programs, subject to a $100 administrative fee.

Program Cancellation: In the event that the Grief Recovery Institute cancels or reschedules a training date, participants may at their options apply for a full refund or transfer and apply all payments to another program. The Grief Recovery Institute’s liability is limited to deposits and/or payments held by the Institute.
